This division is responsible for all matters related to jury service. This division aides in the maintaining of jury pools, mailing jury summons, and collecting jury questionnaires for attorneys and parties to be used during the jury selection process.

Q: I no longer live in White County. May I be excused?
A: Yes. Submit a copy of your drivers license reflecting your new of county residence.

Q: I am a full time student. May I be excused?
A: A deferral may be granted. Submit proof of full-time class load and a copy of your school schedule showing when classes will not be in session. You will be deferred until a time period that you are not in class. Ex: Breaks between courses/Summer/Christmas/Spring breaks

Q: I have a medical problem. May I be excused?
A: Depends on the extent of your condition. Submit a note from your doctor stating what you are being treated for and a specific date or time period the doctor feels you should be deferred. Without a specific date only a one time deferral will be granted.
