Public Notice of Available Board Appointments

The White County Board of Commissioners will be accepting applications for the following board appointments until Friday, May 20, 2016 at 5:00 p.m.

If you are resident of White County and are interested in serving on one of the following boards – you may obtain an application for board appointment at the White County Board of Commissioners Office, 1235 Helen Hwy Cleveland, GA (706)-865-2235

White County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors:

The appointee (1) must be able to attend meetings on the second Wednesday of each month at 8:00 a.m. at the Chamber Office, have an expertise in business, and be able to be involved with Chamber events.

This appointment will be for a two-year term to expire June 30, 2018.

White County Planning Commission:
The The appointees (2) must be able to attend meetings held at 6:00 p.m. at the White County Senior Center on the first (regular meeting) and last (work session) Mondays of each month and other meetings as may be required.

The appointee must be able to make decisions based on existing regulations and must be able to participate in the planning of future regulations affecting White County.

The appointment will be for a three-year term to expire June 30, 2019.

White County Water Authority Board:

The appointees (2), one of whom must represent the Upper Chattahoochee River Soil and Water conservation district, and one of whom must represent the general public of White County, must attend meetings on the second Thursdays at 7:30 A.M.

These are 2-year terms and will expire June 30, 2018.

White County YMCA Board:

The appointee (2) must be able to attend meetings on the last Thursday of every other month at 4:30 p.m. at the White County Parks YMCA and will be working to promote and develop programs for the White County YMCA. This appointment will be for a one-year term expiring June 30, 2017.
