The Georgia Department of Revenue recently held a license plate design contest for Georgia residents. Eight semifinalists were chosen from hundreds of entries and then the public voted on their favorites. The three most popular designs went before a panel of judges that decided on the winning design shown above. The new plates go into production in 2012.
The
new plates will also have a digital design, meaning that they will not have
raised numbers and letters. If you would like the new tag, and it’s not
time to renew and/or your tag is less than five years old, you may turn in
your old tag and purchase the new one for $25.
